OUR HISTORY

http://www.churchatkirkburn.org.uk/page13.html         magazine
Because the population of this parish is small, the number of    people regularly involved with the church is few.   Much time and effort is spent on supporting our regular services and raising money to ensure that we can keep the church open and fulfil our obligations to the diocese and other causes.   As part of our task of fulfilling our mission statement and to maintain an essential contact with the people living in the parish who do not attend our church, 8 years ago we began to print and publish our own magazine delivered freely to every household in the three villages of the parish, by volunteers from amongst our congregation.
We try to keep this publication interesting and without too many advertisements.  We believe it has a good reputation.   You will find at the top right of this page links to some articles recently printed in the magazine.  Those pages will be up-dated from time to time, and subsequently
archived.

We welcome apposite, interesting and suitable articles of a similar length to to those reproduced on this site on any subject of interest to and affecting the life of villagers.  The editor of the magazine reserves to himself absolutely decisions as to whether to publish or not to publish contributions, whether or not in full or in part, and whether or not in hard copy or on the web.
Please feel free to use the e-mail link and include in your contribution your name and address.
