                                          THE ENGLISH “CUPPA”

“It’s the end of the line for this rover” came with the sight of the White cliffs of Dover.
Then pushed with the crowd at last to see the price of an English cup of tea.
The cup in my hand at last to savour the exquisite taste of that first flavour.
Oriental dishes and exotic wine did not impress when I went to dine.
How I longed for the drink of home to quench my thirst on the streets of Rome.
Our foreign visitors will enjoy, I’m sure, the beverage that’s called the “All Time Cure”
when they’ve travelled all those miles their faces will still be full of smiles
when they recall  the famous “Cuppa” that they enjoyed for their English “Suppa”.

                               MACMILLAN CENTRE

If you have a problem and you want to talk it through
then the Macmillan centre is just the place for you.

A massage you can also try, just sit right back - let the world go by.
We also enjoy the days we go out , for lunch, to villages round about.

The nursing staff, patients and volunteer join together to make good cheer
it’s a tonic just to laugh again to banish all the thoughts of pain.
Whatever the future holds, we might grab each day and win the fight.

It’s on a Tuesday at the Alfred Bean when anyone who’s anyone can be seen.
Join us then for a cup of tea and meet the folks like you and me.
